Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, what is next?

8 12 2010

President Mahmoud Abbas, whose elected term expired more than couple of years ago declared on a recent visit to Athens “ the peace process is in dire crises”. It seems the brilliant team around him failed to tell him this truth. The peace process was in crises from the day Oslo was signed by Mahmoud Abbas in Washington where he and the late Yasser Arafat committed the PLO as security and management contractor for the Israeli Occupation. Israel since the days of Rabin never looked to the PLO leadership as a “peace partner” but simply as a security and administrative contractor reporting to the Israeli High Commissioner sitting in Beit El not too far from Abbas’s office. Ramallah, the best friend Israel can have!

4 10 2010

Ahmedinejad and Netanyahu as guests of the White House!

6 08 2010

It may do some if not a lot of good if President Obama invite both President Ahmedinejad of Iran and Bibi Netanyahu of Israel to the White House to watch jointly the horrors of nuclear weapons. Perhaps it will do the world lots of goods if the president of France, the prime minister of England, the president of Russia, the prime minister of India, the president of Pakistan and the president of China all join in with Netanyahu and Ahmedinejad and watch a documentary on the horror and the devastation that struck the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as the US dropped the first ever nuclear bombs.  May be, just may be there will be a call to end all nuclear weapons. President Obama and the road to Jerusalem.

8 04 2009

No doubt Barack Obama’s visit to Europe and Turkey was a great success and his fresh new approach of inviting the world to a partnership with the world is a welcomed contrast to the value and world view of his predecessor George W. Bush. This partnership for sure will bring peace, security and prosperity to the world, certainly to the US. Read the rest of this entry »
