Obama’s speech; dead on arrival.

19 05 2011

The Arabs and specially the Palestinians should not hold their breath in anticipations of the scheduled speech President Barack Obama plans to give today, Thursday. When it comes to the Middle East, Mr. Obama does not formulate the policy, it is dictated to him as the case with previous presidents.  Nothing will change in Washington unless there is powerful public movement to yank the power of AIPAC and the American Jewish leadership and community and give it back to the American people where it belong. Hamas, Fatah; unfit to lead, unfit to manage liberation and freedom.

3 05 2011

In few hours in Cairo and in the presence of Arab and international guests, both Mahmoud Abbas as head of Fatah and Khaled Mishal as head of Hamas will sign and execute the “ Cairo reconciliation agreement” ending the feudal feud between the two brothers, they will kiss, shake hand and forget all the crimes both committed against Palestine and the people. Not so sure if Oslo Abbas and Ramallah PA can survive till September without funding from Israel, the US and EC! Read the rest of this entry »

Why Hamas, but not Likud and Yisrael Beituna?

29 04 2011

I do not understand why Israel, the US, EC and some Arab countries insist on Hamas, a political party recognizing Israel, when Likud, Yisrael Beituna and Shas not only failed to ratify Oslo, but also refuse to recognize the PLO and the Palestinian State? It makes no sense, unless of course there is a different standard, one for Jews and one for Arabs. Read the rest of this entry »

Netanyahu, King of the Hill.

17 04 2011

Note: True we are a Republic with elected president and members of both houses, a Senate, but not House of Lords, and House of Representative. However when it comes to Israel and to the “people’s houses” there is no president, there is only a King, and the King is always the Israeli Prime Minister. Welcome to America’s Knesset. So far Israel costs the US tax payers over $ Trillion ($1,000,000,000,000,) just imagine what this $ Trillion could do for our country, in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Montana, Michigan, Vermont and New Hampshire not to mention all other states. Gaddafi, Israel and the US !

17 03 2011

Muammar Gaddafi went on radio few days ago, threatening no mercy for the pro-democracy residence of Benghazi . In the last few days, Muammar and his son Seif El-Islam feel energized again after making some gains on the grounds during the last 10 days. Thanks to President Sarkozy and France, the UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for a “No Fly Zone” and taking a measures to protect the lives of civilians in Libya. Though the Obama Administration was too keen on the no fly zone, for reasons that became clear it took a back seat, with a wait and see attitude, until Gaddafi was able to win the battle against his own people with ready and final assault on the city of Benghazi. France persistence finally paid off, finally the Obama Administration was allowed to vote on the USSC resolution 1973. It is too late for all those killed and murdered by Gaddafi, and the hope that his days as leader of Libya are numbered. Read the rest of this entry »

Israel and milking America.

8 03 2011

Ehud Barak, the Israeli defense minister in Bibi Netanyahu’s government announced to the Wall Street Journal that Israel would seek $ 20 Billions in upgrade for its already existing $3.2 Billions annual defense grants. It seems the Arab winds of freedom and democracy is another chance for Israel to milk the US cow for more money. That should not be a big problem since the US Congress with its Republican leadership and with some one like Eric Cantor representing Tel-Aviv and not Richmond, VA in the American Knesset West will surely help in this regard. If the toppling of dictatorships in Tunisia and Egypt is worth $20 Billions for Israel, one has to wonder what the price the US has to pay Israel for a regime change in Libya, Yemen, or Syria?
