Too bad the destruction of Islamic land marks in Timbuktu by the criminal thugs called “Ansar El-Islam/Supporters of Islam” did not generate or illicit the strong condemnations denunciations and material actions it deserves from the religious leaders of Al-Azhar, Mecca, Qom and Najaf. I thought the original title “ The Failing Arabs” would be too offensive to a very proud people and nation. People who pride themselves with a rich history enriched by Islam and an Islam enriched by diverse cultures, civilizations, and faiths. I grew up when there were curfews that lasted for days, when listening to the wrong radio station can land you in jail, when a stupid illiterate “security/mokhabarat” can haul you to jail for no reasons and I remember when and seen “darak” policemen on horses raid villages breaking into homes mixing rice, oil, lentil and flour in the middle of the floor. America, the great country and power that it is, is in deep trouble, failing in many of its wars: Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya. Failing in its drug war and in its war on terrorism, the country also has a failing, polarized political system that is failing the people; a financial system that is colluding with the political powers in Washington; and a Federal Reserve that is waging a merciless war against the American people and the world. Arab armies are taking a “detour”.

Syria, Yemen and Libya gives Arabs good reasons not to trust their national armies and must think twice if they decide to go to the streets to force change. The Egyptian and Tunisian armies proved to be an exception, giving hope to the rest of the Arab world. Arab citizens have to really worry about “Arab nationalist’s leadership” they prove once again, they are killers and murderers.
