How America lost its moral and ethical compass.
The Occupy Wall Street movement should not have come as a surprise to official America and to Main Street. To be effective the movement has to move and seek the support and active involvement of Main Street. More than ever there is a need for Main Street America to take the helm and take charge of both Wall Street and Congress. America is angry and for good reason. And we as citizens have every reason to be angry with a Congress that the American people have lost faith in and have no respect for. A Congress driven and divided by impotent ideologies that serves the very narrow interests of special lobbies and Wall Street. America, the great country and power that it is, is in deep trouble, failing in many of its wars: Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya. Failing in its drug war and in its war on terrorism, the country also has a failing, polarized political system that is failing the people; a financial system that is colluding with the political powers in Washington; and a Federal Reserve that is waging a merciless war against the American people and the world. Every May, there are two rolling thundering groups that descend on Washington Dc, the nation capital. There is the Rolling Thunder, the Veterans group, loyal Americans honoring their comrades in arms and reminding the nation of its son and daughters who took up the call to serve the nation. Then there is the other group, the American Jewish Holy Worriers, AIPAC, Israeli loyalists coming to Washington to intimidate the nation, its president and its Congress. Given the dire situation the US and “We the People” are in and face, due to inaction and failings on the part of the US Congress, may be it is the Right/Left and Conservative/Liberal thing to do is to ask Congress to pass a special amendment to the US Constitution that allows the American people to vote for or have Congress appoint the Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu as president of the United States. As I look at and watch what is happening in Washington these days, I have to wonder whether we are living in America as envisioned by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Mason and Benjamin Franklin and the founding fathers who laid the corner stones for the emerging democracy or we are living in a country on a course of self destruct from within.
