President Obama at AIPAC; Unconditional Surrender.

23 05 2011

As was expected President Barack Obama’s speech this weekend at AIPAC was an unconditional surrender to AIPAC, to Bibi Netanyahu and Israel. He gave up the US presidency in favor of his candidacy for re-election.

Barak Obama did not come to AIPAC to convince the American Jewish leaders and community and argue the case of the US resolve and leadership in settling the Middle East conflict based on international laws and international conventions, a conflict that has cost the US and its tax payers so dearly. Obama’s speech; dead on arrival.

19 05 2011

The Arabs and specially the Palestinians should not hold their breath in anticipations of the scheduled speech President Barack Obama plans to give today, Thursday. When it comes to the Middle East, Mr. Obama does not formulate the policy, it is dictated to him as the case with previous presidents.  Nothing will change in Washington unless there is powerful public movement to yank the power of AIPAC and the American Jewish leadership and community and give it back to the American people where it belong. America First; Why Not?

14 04 2011

As I look at and watch what is happening in Washington these days, I have to wonder whether we are living in America as envisioned by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Mason and Benjamin Franklin and the founding fathers who laid the corner stones for the emerging democracy or we are living in a country on a course of self destruct from within. Israel and milking America.

8 03 2011

Ehud Barak, the Israeli defense minister in Bibi Netanyahu’s government announced to the Wall Street Journal that Israel would seek $ 20 Billions in upgrade for its already existing $3.2 Billions annual defense grants. It seems the Arab winds of freedom and democracy is another chance for Israel to milk the US cow for more money. That should not be a big problem since the US Congress with its Republican leadership and with some one like Eric Cantor representing Tel-Aviv and not Richmond, VA in the American Knesset West will surely help in this regard. If the toppling of dictatorships in Tunisia and Egypt is worth $20 Billions for Israel, one has to wonder what the price the US has to pay Israel for a regime change in Libya, Yemen, or Syria? JStreet or no JStreet !

27 02 2011

Not taking away from the courageous efforts of JStreet in challenging AIPAC and the well-entrenched American Jewish leadership that has always been consistently anti-peace and pro-war, JStreet has a long way to go. The American Jewish leadership has been the main obstacle to any meaningful Middle East peace.  Its undue if not toxic influence on the White House, the State Department and Congress is the real obstacle to solving the Arab/Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Without the main stream American Jewish leadership and to a great extent, the American Jewish community, changing its mind and becoming pro-peace, there will never be peace. No sitting US president will ever have the courage to stands up against such powerful lobby and will never be able to face Congress. The US, Israel, the Palestinians, the Arabs, the Middle East even Iran will always be hostage to such toxic influence. Let us not kid ourselves about the US as an “honest broker”. It is not honest and it is not a broker. Read the rest of this entry »

Israel at 62, a failed Zionist enterprise.

28 04 2010

I am sure if Haim Weizmann, Theodor Herzl or David Ben Gurion were alive and were invited by Bibi Netanyahu to attend Israel’s 62nd birthday, they will be very disappointed with the State of Israel and wonder what wrong with the Zionist Enterprise? Not all “Diaspora Jews” are in and not all Arabs are out! Very disturbing facts for Zionism. The idea of an independent state for the “Jewish Nation” is not there, simple. I am also sure if the State of Israel was a “supermarket” or a “liquor store” or a “department store” owned by a savvy and smart Jewish owner he or she would have shut the store long time ago, too expensive to keep, and too ugly to be proud of.
