Few days ago, I read a very interesting news item in one of the leading Arabic newspaper. The newspaper announced that Dr. Saeb Erekat the head of the PLO negotiating team with Israel decided, and after 3 years of research, decided to publish an academic manual on negations directed toward academic institutions, centers and students of conflict resolution. Years of silence by Palestinian” Sheiks” and intellectuals led us to where we are now. Arafat ruled the PLO and Fatah with iron fist, using bribery, intimidation even physical liquidation to silence every one. There was never a call for accountability of decisions, failures even financial corruptions. Time for a national salvation front to save the Palestinians from themselves and from the Israeli. The news from Gaza is not a good one. Israel is carrying on with its promised to bring its holocaust “shoah” in keeping commitments made by Maton Vilani, Israeli deputy defense minister. To the time of this writing, and within 24 hours, more than 46 Palestinians killed more than half civilians, women and children and elder persons. Israel announced 2 of its soldiers dead and few wounded. More than 80 dead and more than 200 wounded since Israel began its “shoah” against Gaza two days ago. Read the rest of this entry »

It seems the only thing that Washington, Tel-Aviv and Ramallah agree on is the need for Mahmoud Abbas to have his own private “militia” and to be added to the list of the War Lords of the region. To fund this 55,000 man strong militia, the US propose a $7 BILLION for such a militia, whose mission is to keep the citizens in check and not offend the continued Israeli Occupation. At one time and for a long time, I always believed in the possibility of peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two state solution along the 67 borders with Jerusalem as a shared and open city. No more.
