Palestine, time for regime change.

16 09 2011

More than any other time in the history of Palestine, there is an urgent and critical need for regime change. Let us not allow the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Palestinian Authority (PA) and Fatah efforts to secure “full recognition” at the UN from the urgent need of a regime change.

This PLO/Fatah regime, perhaps the longest running political and criminal regime and enterprise in the Middle East, much longer than Saddam Hussein Ba’athist regime, much longer than Bashar/Hafez Assad Ba’athist regime, much longer than Hosni Mubarak regime, much longer than Muamar Gaddafi regime. Palestinian leadership behind bars; why not?

9 08 2011

Other than Israel and the US, no group or organizations or countries did more damage to the Palestinian cause of liberation and freedom than the incompetent, corrupt and reckless Palestinian leadership past and present.  This leadership should be behind bars not sitting at the UN or at negotiating table representing the more than 8 million Diaspora Palestinians and those under Jewish Occupation. Israel vs Palestine; them and us

10 05 2011

As Israel celebrate its 63rd anniversary, I could not help but compare the Zionist Israeli leadership to that of the Palestinian leadership past (Hajj Amin Husaini, Ahmed Shukairi and Yasser Arafat) and present (Abbas & Company) and what each achieved for their people in over 100 years of conflict?  While one celebrate a nation, strong as ever (Peres) the other is wondering how to meet the current payroll? While one celebrates a nation with an army and institutions, the other promises the people a “virtual” state with none of the prerequisites of a modern nation state. While one talks of expanding and solidifying the Jewish Occupation, the other talks of reviving the PLO and restructuring the Palestine National Congress as if any one gives a damn about the PLO or its PNC. Hamas, Fatah; unfit to lead, unfit to manage liberation and freedom.

3 05 2011

In few hours in Cairo and in the presence of Arab and international guests, both Mahmoud Abbas as head of Fatah and Khaled Mishal as head of Hamas will sign and execute the “ Cairo reconciliation agreement” ending the feudal feud between the two brothers, they will kiss, shake hand and forget all the crimes both committed against Palestine and the people. Not so sure if Oslo Abbas and Ramallah PA can survive till September without funding from Israel, the US and EC! Read the rest of this entry »

Hamas and Fatah; Reconciliation or Escape Forward!

27 04 2011

The news coming out of Cairo in the last hours are very surprising to every one.  Most of all to Bibi Netanyahu who gave Mahmoud Abbas a choice, either peace with Israel or reconciliation with Hamas and who ordered his security forces to put more squeeze on Gaza. Bibi forgetting that Mahmoud Abbas has been knocking on the doors of Israel and begging for peace with or without Hamas for over 20 years and there was one answer, the Jewish Occupation and expansion of Jewish settlement colonies more important than peace with the Palestinians. Palestinian leadership; between Saddam, Assad and Mubarak.

14 04 2011

The views I express here may offend some, but I will say it any way. I was one of the millions in Iraq and around the Arab world who were very happy and celebrated the capture of Saddam Hussein on 14 December 2003 and was even happier when he was hanged on 30 December 2006. The only regret I have is that it took a foreign invasion and for the wrong reasons to bring down Saddam and his regime. One has to wonder what kind of Iraq we will have today if the people of Iraq did what the people of Tunisia and Egypt did? And if the Iraqi Army did what the Egyptian and Tunisian armies did when they took the side of the people, avoiding all the humiliations, the shame it brought upon itself, when it chose to side with a failed leader who failed the army before failing the people. Just imagine the millions of lives that could have been saved, the hundred of billions wasted on a war that not only destroyed Iraq but failed to rebuild it and failed to usher in a new democratic, transparent and accountable government, turning Iraq into a failed state like it was under Saddam.
