George Bush statement in the Israeli Knesset in celebrating 60 years of independence, shames us all. His failure to recognize that Israel was not founded in “Heaven” but in long history of terrorism and ethnic cleansing is a smack in the face of his administration and its commitment to fighting terrorism and it is an insult to all of the great values that made America the great country it is, notwithstanding poor and incompetent leader like George Bush. Forget Tomas Freedman of the New York Times or Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post. No American journalist, Jew or “Goyem” could ever dare to write let alone publish or survive publishing any articles or essays that are critical of the role of US Jewry and its impact or meddling in the affairs of Israel and the decisions on war and peace in the Middle East. Last week calls by candidate Hillary Clinton to obliterate Iran for and on behalf of Israel and her willingness to commit to nuclear war causing the lives of hundreds of millions of people for and on behalf of a state that since its inception has been at war with all of its close and distant neighbor is a grave warning to Americans of the danger of Zionism on America and the world. I am a daily reader of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. The newspaper dare publish articles and opinions no American newspaper dare publish. What readers will read in the following article that is published by Al-Aharam should make all of us wonder why opinions and “fatwas” of Jewish Rabbis are not well published and well know around the world and why countries such as the US, France, UK, Germany among others do not list these Rabbis as “terrorists” since they advocate and entice followers to go out kill and commit murder just like the Islamic Al-Qaeda Jihadists . It is true and for the last decades there has been a number of organizations and steps taken to establish an “interfaith” dialogue especially between Muslims and Jews to augment the ongoing dialogue with the Christian community.
A quick “Google” search one can see scores of organizations that have been sponsoring such a dialogue between Muslims and Jews. With some organizations going to the texts of the Holy Quran and the Torah to show the commonality between the faiths rather than the difference.
