Matza Balls, Chopped Liver; Not Homous and Falafel

19 05 2015

The “Olive Harvest” season ( October/November) in Occupied Palestine is the time when armed Jewish settlers and thugs come out of their rat holes and sewers, muster the courage under the protections of the infamous Israeli Army, energized with substantial cash infusion from their Jewish Zionist American sponsors, go on rampage burning and uprooting century old olive trees, shooting and harassing Palestinian villagers as they go about their annual ritual of “hassad al-zietoun”.

Of course most if not all of these criminal Jewish thugs do not work for a living, generously funded by rich Jewish American philanthropists who make their money fleecing poor Americans, Bingo games, gambling, pimping and generously funded by tax exempted American Jewish organizations.

It seems there is nothing wrong with funding these Jewish terrorists and thugs, but it is a major crime to fund Muslim charities that support schools, orphanages and hospitals. It is well known fact that American Jewish philanthropists and tax exempted organizations are the life line for these criminal thugs, running racketeering organizations engaged in murder, theft, fraud, land and property theft.

Because of these annual “Jewish Krystal Nights” committed by Jewish thugs, I decided to do some research on the issue of olives and of course “Jewish Cuisines”.

I knew from my days in New York City in the late 70’s that Humous and Falafel became an “Israeli” dishes very popular around Mid-town, around NYU and of course Downtown. The same is true in Paris Jewish Quarter “ le Marais” where most of the small restaurants serve humous, falafel and tabbule are “Jewish”.

I guess there is nothing wrong with the “Jews” adapting to the culture and tradition of the countries they lived in. However to claim humous, falafel, tabblue, baba ghanoug and kunafeh, as an authentic Israeli and Jewish dishes is little too much to accept when majority of Israelis are silent as these settlers torch thousands of olive trees every year.

New York City, with the largest Jewish population in the world has some of the best delicatessens around, with great offerings and great variety of sandwiches one can ask for. When I worked Downtown, I always made sure that I eat lunch at least twice a week at some of the Jewish delicatessens around Wall Street, always asked for extra crisp kosher cucumber pickle with my order of corn beef on rye, or pastrami sandwich of course on rye.

Falafel, humous and baba ganoug were not main dishes of New York City Jewish delicatessen at the time. They were offered on street carts. Now almost all Jewish delicatessen offers these “Arab” dishes as Israeli dishes.

Most of the “Jewish” and Israeli cuisines are influenced by the different Jewish communities, such as the “Ashkenazi” of East and Central Europe; the “Sephardic” with origins in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Turkey and the Balkans; the “Mizrahi” of North Africa to include Morocco, Tunisia and referred to as “Judeo-Arabs” of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq, with each community having its own distinctive dishes, with the famous “chicken soup” being most common among these groups, but humous, falafel, tabbule and baba ghanoug are not one of them.

When we eat a nice hot bagel and lox we celebrate Jewish cuisine. When we eat chopped liver we celebrate Jewish cuisine, when we eat matzo balls, we celebrate Jewish cuisine, when we have a cold and we eat chicken soup, we celebrate Jewish cuisine. But we do not celebrate Jewish let alone Israeli cuisine when we eat falafel, tabbule, or humous with pure cold pressed virgin olive oil (that escaped the murderous hand of Jewish thugs and criminal trespassers). When we eat and enjoy hot falafel sandwich with “taratour” made up of chopped tomato, chopped onion, chopped parsley, chopped garlic mixed with lemon and tahine we celebrate an Arab dish, but not an Israeli let alone a Jewish dish.

Of course Jewish communities from the Arab world not only shared with us the cuisine but they excelled at it as well, with famous Jewish “couscous of Fez” or the “kusa mahshi” of Aleppo.

However for the most part “Jewish” cuisines is full of East European dishes with meat and potato, pickled herrings, lokshen (noodles) challah, chmura matzo, matzah brei (fried crumbled matzo with grated onion) and latkes (potato pancake), matzo balls as main dishes.

Nowhere did I see humous, falafel, tabbule, baba ghanoug, kusa mahshi, or “salatet fellaheen” as main dish in the many Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Chanukah and Purim. Most dishes for these holidays are Ashkenazi dishes but not Middle East dishes. Recently Kunafeh Nabulsia did not escape the Israeli appetite for taking over every thing Palestinians. Kunafeh is not a Russian or Polish Jewish dish. It is pure Palestinian dish well known in Nablus. Soon the Palestinian checkered black and white “Kafia” will be marketed around the world as Israeli Kafia.

I had the pleasure to eat first class Middle East cuisine with humous, tabbule, falafel, and baba ghanoug as “mezze” or appetizers before main dishes of “mashwi”, kusa mahshi, rice pilaf with pine nuts, in the homes of my Israeli Jewish friends Yigal and Yoav. I also enjoyed some of the best falafel sandwich and humous in gas stations outside Tel-Aviv in the company of my good friend Avi. However nothing beat the falafel, humous of Abdu at Manara Square in Ramallah.

Of course the best city to offer such a wide variety of food especially Middle East fast food is Riyadh, with thousands of restaurants offering the best there is. Yes, when it comes to food and service, the Lebanese are the best at in terms of service, presentation, and quality of food and hospitality.

The worst perhaps are the Moroccans where service in restaurants is shameful and fall far short of the mark, and does not give a country such as Morocco with great and exciting cuisine the service to match the variety and taste of the Moroccan cuisine and fail the test of hospitality Moroccans are known for.

I always suggested that Lebanon should open a food service hospitality courses and clinics in Morocco to teach graduates of hospitality schools in Morocco the art and refinement of food service hospitality. Of course the Jews of New York especially those working in Jewish delicatessen, well known for being too brash, but then the food is good.

I wish we had more to share than just humous, falafel and baba ghanoug. I wish we can share a life, hopes and dreams, a country together; perhaps we can share water, perhaps the same roads, where we can look forward to the olive harvests as a time of celebration not time of fear, without these criminal and misfits from the American Jewish ghettos of Brooklyn descending on Palestinian villages and towns uprooting and burning olive trees. Enjoy.

From Tel-Aviv to Baltimore With Love !

5 05 2015

The events of last week show how close a relationship and value system both Israel and the US have with each other. Certainly love for each other, but not love for their own citizens specially if they are Black.

In Tel-Aviv as in Baltimore, it is clear that Israeli and American police share the same philosophies and practices. All citizens especially if they are Black are “Palestinians” to be dealt with in the same way, as suspected terrorists.

471368968-baltimore-police-officers-in-riot-gear-walk-toward

Immediately after 9/11 taking advantage of having one of its own in high ranking position in Home Land Security, JINSA, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, made it a point to create close, perhaps too close a relationship between it, Israel and America’s national security agencies specially Defense, CIA, Home Land Security, certainly the police, with the views that Israel through close relationship with the military-industrial complex can contribute to the national security of the US with the aims to “ engage the American defense community about the role Israel can and does play in securing Western democracies interests in the Middle East”.

No reason to go into details about “whose whom” in JINSA, many served at top officials of the US while serving at JINSA. All of them without exception played a key role in America’s wars against Afghanistan and the destruction of Iraq. Promoting “ not just invasion but total wars on Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Palestinian Authorities” the Nation September 2, 2002.

So it should not come as a surprise for all of us, specially the Blacks and the Black leadership, that JINSA through its Law Enforcement Exchange Program enabled tens of thousands of police men and major city police chiefs to train in Israel. The “Week long program designed to strengthen American law enforcement counter terrorism, practices by facilitating dialogue with and studying techniques used by their Israeli counterparts to keep citizens safe”.

In November 2008, the International Association of Chief of Police honored the Israeli National Police at is annual conference in San Diego. Recognizing the role JINSA’s program in shaping American police rules of engagement.

Last week in Tel-Aviv Israeli police used “stun grenade” clubs and tear gas, at the rally organized by Israeli-Ethiopians demonstrating not only police brutality but also deep-rooted racism in Israel.

This followed three days after police officers in Holon; the Tel-Aviv suburb severely beat an Israeli-Ethiopian in army uniform and from the video shown on public television, without provocation. Being Black is sufficient.

Desperate for immigrants to meet its demands for cheap unskilled labor force, Israeli government and the Jewish Agency began to look around the world to see which group it can define as “Jews” and organize to come to Israel.

The Falasha Jews of Ethiopia were one such group. Poor almost illiterate, unskilled was the right group to serve as cheap labors in farms, cleaning city streets, picking up garbage, serving in cheap restaurant and doing the White Man job no longer desired.

In 1984, with the help of the late Sudan president Jafar Numairi, Israel was able to airlift some tens of thousands directly to Israel. Today the Falasha’s numbers around 135,000 or 2% of the Israeli population, but like the Blacks in the US have the highest rates of incarceration (1/3 of the total prison population), with the highest rates of unemployment, divorce, domestic violence and suicide.

Since racism runs deep in Israel, even the chief Rabbinate in Israel had and does have grave doubt about their “Jewishness” requiring “conversion” rituals before approving marriage.

Adding insults to injuries, in 1966, the Israeli Health Ministry “dumped” donated Ethiopian blood because of fear of HIV, with many signs appearing around the country, “no rent” “no sell” to Ethiopians.

However one must not feel so sorry for these poor bastards. They always display and engage in the most brutal attacks on demonstrating Palestinians, ready to engage in shoot to kill and display the most vulgar racist attitude toward the Palestinians. They are also trespassers and land thieves.

Here in America, not only we will need to question the wisdom of sending our police force to train in Israel but we also need to redraw new social contracts between citizens and police, especially between Blacks and police.

To be fair to the police, they are in a clear and present danger every day they are on the beat. America and Americans are the most violent nation in the world.

Nowhere else do we see the kind of killings and murder that takes place in America. A call on a domestic violence case can end the life of a policeman. Even a routine traffic violation stop can also end the life of a policeman or a trooper. Not only the police has to reform but we as a society has to change and reform.

No segment of society in need of change or make over than the Black community in America. We have major problems social, cultural, racial, and economic issues that the government alone could not solve.

Our Welfare system as we know it is the worst thing that could happens to Blacks. It created generation after generation of reliance which perpetuate the a cycle of “social neglect” and demeaning that contribute a great deal to the fact that Blacks have the highest risk of incarceration from among the many ethnic or social group, with family breakdown as cancer that kills hope.

The deck is stacked against the Blacks from the day they are born. They have to work harder, overcome so many obstacles to even catch up with other groups. They have to be exceptional to make it in commerce, and in the profession. Prominent leaders, those who made it are often targeted for closer scrutiny with the intention to defame, humiliate and demean the community.

While I do not claim to have all the answers or pretend to be an expert in sociology or psychology, I can only say, it is time for the Black leadership in America to stop going to funeral and public rally and call for a National Summit of Black America not only in the White House, and Congress but in every city and house.

Time for the Black community to take charge of its own destiny, to solve its own chronic problems and issues. Time for the Black community to learn from other communities that arrived as of late. Indians, Arabs, and Orientals have made it in America. Off the boat or plane without language for the most part, extended families stuck together living in same house allowing members of the families to work two jobs, with kids excelling in schools and are among the top graduates in major universities moving toward successful careers in business, industry, medicine, science, IT, law and universities.

There are NO reasons that the Blacks could not learn from these immigrant communities. They must be doing something right. There is nothing “extrinsic” about the Blacks that hold them back. Color is not an impediment to success, poor excuses are.

The Black leadership working within the community must set a target of one generation to get the Black out of the perpetual trap they are in. Family, schooling, education, and commitment to self-help can transform a society.

Here in America we have and must learn to demonstrate against wrongs, to go out in the hundreds of thousands and demonstrate peacefully, without resorting to violence or property destruction or looting.

The police also have to learn that we as citizens have the right to demonstrate against police violence, wrongs, and racial profiling. We must remember, our safety and security is also the police safety and security.

Netanyahu’s Win, and What it Means?

18 03 2015

A surprising clear sweep with 30 seats, Bibi Netanyahu and his Likud are now guaranteed the next premiership of Israel. Add to that the seats won by the religious rights and nationalist parties Bibi can now form his next government with a comfortable majority of 67 seats in the next Israeli Knesset. Welcome to Apartheid Israel of the Future.

Netanyahu promised on the last day of campaigning from Har Homah settlement, promising there will be NO Palestinian State during his watch drove and energize Israeli right winger voters including many of the Sephardic Jews to put Bibi on top. In any and all cases, the continued Israeli occupation, the sieges of Gaza were never an issue in this election. The question now is what does Bibi wins means to the different stakeholders.

The Palestinians:

– It is very clear to every one, perhaps not to the so-called Palestinian leadership sitting in Ramallah the pursuit of a two state solution is dead and will remain dead for the next 4 years. Keeping in mind that Bibi Netanyahu and his Likud party voted against Oslo. This is at a time when both the Palestinian leadership, the US and Europe all are asking Hamas to accept and recognize Israel and recognize Oslo.
– With the PLO/PA /Fatah commitment to continued security cooperation with the Israeli occupational authority, and with a Third Intifada unlikely during Mahmoud Abbas watch, Bibi with the “territories” quite and under joint control. Now can concentrate on domestic issues, issues such as cost of living, health, widening income gab between rich and poor.
– The PLO/PA/Fatah badly in need of continued funding to keep the operation going, Mahmoud Abbas will do his best now to convince the United States to pressure Israel to release frozen funds thus allowing the PA to continue to function and allowing Mahmoud Abbas to continue with his charade of pursuing a two state solution through political and diplomatic means.
– It is very unlikely that Mahmoud Abbas regime will ever bring formal charges against Israel before the International Criminal Court. The US through promises to release frozen funds to Abbas regime in Ramallah it is unlikely that Abbas will take the risk of loosing funding only to bring criminal charges without any guarantees that any Israelis will be arrested and charged.

– Gaza will remain under siege with no hope in the horizon. Promises made to rebuild Gaza will remain promises with only Qatar taking the initiative to build the first tranche of housing to the tune of one billion dollar. Fatah and Ramallah are quite upset that Qatar is freezing Ramallah out of the reconstruction business when in fact Ramallah and all the cronies were expecting to make a killing from the reconstruction of Gaza.
– Hamas has to rethink its position of not negotiating and agreeing to a 5 years truce that with the help of the US and EC can mean the chance of opening the Port of Gaza as an alternative to the often closed Rafah crossing and ending the illegal siege that lasted too long.
– For the Palestinians within the Green Line often referred to as Israeli Palestinians winning 14 seats in the next Knesset is a big and major win, making them the third party within the 120 member Knesset. For sure they will not be part of the next government but it is first step in the right direction. Now they have to work very hard to seek equality with their “Jewish” fellow citizens and must engage in a fight to end the Jewish Apartheid that exists within the “democratic” state of Israel.

The United States;
– A clear win for Bibi Netanyahu for sure will bolster the Republicans in both the House and Senate and for sure will empower an Israeli-First Congress to stand in the way of any diplomatic breakthrough with Iran, certainly it will put an end to any hope that President Obama will take new initiatives pushing for peace in the Middle East during the 18 months remaining in his office. Obama has to be very careful now with an Israeli Congress that will put a stop and abort whatever agenda he has for the remaining tenure.
– American should not be surprised if Bibi Netanyahu, not President Obama who will be invited to give the next State of the Union Message to the American Knesset.
– For sure Republicans specially freshman Republicans senators like Cotton, Ernst and all of the Israeli First crowd will make Obama’s last month in office hell. They will do their best to make sure Obama pays a heavy price for not inviting Netanyahu to the White House and not giving him the support he was seeking.
– Not sure how this will affect the ongoing and critical negotiations with Iran and whether Bibi with the support of the American Knesset will abort any agreement reached between the Group of 5+1. Though the agreement if it takes place is guaranteed by the UN, with the UN as the party authorized to lift the sanction imposed on Iran. We have to wait and see.
– Not sure if an America-First wake call will promote majority Americans certainly the lazy non voters to come out and vote for an America First Congress that will put Bibi and all of his cronies in our American Knesset out of business for ever. It is doable, all it takes a will power and commitment to America.

The European Jewish Community;
– Frankly speaking everyone and I am included must not refer to the Jews of Europe as a “community” since in fact they are full citizens with prominence in politics, in finance, in arts, in media and in the social scene. There is nothing that distinguishes this group of citizens from their next-door neighbors other than the fact they are “Jewish “ while the neighbors may be Catholics or Protestant and usually are not referred to as “community”. Time to put Anti-Semitism ( driven by Zionism and the Israeli Occupation) out of business and time to end the distinction given to European citizens who simply happens to be “Jewish”.
– Most likely we will see and in the next coming months and years an active campaign by Bibi and the Zionist organizations within Europe and with active support from the US Zionist based organizations we will see many false flags “terrorists” crime targeting “Jewish “ centers causing fear and panic pushing them to immigrate to Israel. Young Israel was very successful in its campaign to force “Arab Jews” to immigrate to Israel in the 50s when it engaged in organized and well planned “terrorists” activities directed toward synagogues, business, community centers, even if this means killing Jews in the process.
When Netanyahu declares Israel as the state for the “Jewish People” he means it and will make sure that he makes life hell for all Jews living outside of Israel. Time will tell whether “Jews” consider themselves citizens of Europe or citizens of their countries or subjects of the “Jewish State”, with loyalty to Israel.

Iran:
– With the expected conclusions of the negotiations coming to an end this month, not sure if the remaining gab between Iran and the Group of 5+1 will come to a successful conclusion and what does that mean for both Iran and the US and whether a new win by Netanyahu will once again put the military option against Iran on the table. Within the American Knesset there is a strong support from Republicans and majority Democrats for an Israeli declared war on Iran paid for by the US in blood and money.
– Iran is not like the Arab countries, which Israel can whip in no time. Iran is a powerful country with powerful military and very solid support for its leadership specially if it comes to attack on Iran. For sure Iran will retaliate and will retaliate in way that causes maximum damage to the Jewish state if not permanently weakening such regional power.
– Israel will continue to play a major and key role in destabilizing the region as it has been doing for the last 60 years. Not clear if Arab capitals now will reopen their doors to the new Israeli government of Bibi Netanyahu thought for sure some will continue to coordinate security cooperation with Israel even purchasing hardware from Israel to bolster their “security”.

Conclusion:

For the people of Israel no major changes will take place. They will continue to be an occupying power, the last in the world, will continue to treat Palestinians with Israeli citizenship as second class citizens and the Palestinians of the “territories” as unwelcome guests in the Land of Israel. And will continue to rob and steal Palestinian land and water at will. Will continue to engage in house demolitions, targeted assassinations, frequent war on Gaza, arbitrary arrests of Palestinians. On the home front, for sure there will be a change in domestic priorities meeting the demands of the electorate. Israel was and will always be an Apartheid State and the only hope forward is for the Palestinians to dump their so-called leadership and pursue the One State for all of its citizens. It is a long way to achieve equal citizenship but never an impossible dream.

The Arabs; Civil Rights not Civil Wars.

13 03 2015

By: Sami Jamil Jadallah

Over the last several decades the Arabs and the Arab World (more than Arabs; it is Amazighs, Kurds, Armenians, Circassians among others. The Arab World is Muslims, Christians and Jews) have experienced constants conflicts and wars. Wars from within and wars with other countries, mainly Israel and Iran.

Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Algeria, Morocco all have experienced armed conflicts at one time or another with hundreds of billions if not trillions going to fund these wars, some a matter of choice others imposed.

After millions killed, tens of millions made refugees or in exile, trillions wasted in the sands, do we see any results or any benefits or change? Nothing learned from wars, nothing learned from failures.

Over the last 4 years the Arab Spring countries, perhaps with the exception of Tunisia, are in constant conflicts even civil wars making things even worst than before the uprising. Wars declared by the ruling dictatorial regimes against their own people for wanting freedom and democracy. Wars declared by those who claim to have defeated dictatorship only to impose their own brand of dictatorship. The Deep State is alive and well.

The people, whether in Yemen, Syria Iraq, Libya or Sudan are not asking for heaven on earth, but only asking for a decent life. A life of respect and dignity guaranteed by a constitution and institutional government and not at the discretion, dispensing favors/Ekramiat, a ruler deems himself God representative on earth.

The people are asking for nothing more than a decent respectable life, free from wants, a decent housing, decent health care, affordable public transportation, decent “intelligent” and “stupid” bureaucracy that does not humiliate citizens every day force them into corruption. A police that serve them and protect and not abuse, harm even kills them.

They are not asking for the ideal democracy of Switzerland or Sweden, but the basic right to vote in free elections, to elect their own representative free and at will, with term limits for leadership and not life tenure only to pass on to their heirs.

Nothing of the sort. They are asking for transparency and accountability in government, equality of opportunity and limits on looting, graphs and corruptions. I know it is too difficult to teach old dogs new tricks when, for years, politicians, government officials and bureaucrats, been looting treasury and citizens at will, where nepotism opened the doors of the bureaucracy wide open.

The people are not asking government officials to ride bicycles to their work to take the metro. But only asking that ministers or high government officials have one government car, not fleet of cars for the baby sister or wives or mother in laws or mistresses or servant. One driver and not a dozens of servants assigned to clean house, do the dishes, cook, do the laundry. Soldiers should never be house servants.

They are asking for decent public schools, quality schools where poor kids can have the same quality educations as the rich kids. Where brains not connections and nepotism open the doors to seats in universities and colleges and to future life.

Really when you think about it, Arab public demands are modest indeed. Transparency and public accountability, limits on the abuse of government and violations of civil and human rights, where thieves, those looting public funds or public organizations, retirement funds, public agencies, or those who took hundreds of millions if not billions in commissions whether from defense contractors or from public projects or agencies are not only held accountable but made to pay back the money they looted.

They are only saying, enough is enough. Public officials should satisfy themselves with their government salaries and benefits and do not make private arrangement to take over public lands on the cheap only to sell it and make millions as it happens all over the Arab World.

The people are simply tired of a one party state, where the party becomes the state, owning every thing even the body and sole of people. They are simply tired of the police state, a state that police the people but never police its self, its bureaucracy or its officials. Tired of a “parliament” that is an insult to the intelligence of people. Made up of rich illiterates or business people who looted the banks and country and who bought their seats in the open bazaar. One has to question is there one parliament that is truly representative of the people?

Tired of having an illiterate stupid official with an (IQ of -1) representing “mokhabarat” or intelligence services comes to the home uninvited and takes away citizens, who may never come back.

They are asking for a representative government. A government of the people by the people and for the people. Not a parliament chosen by the head of state convenes at the wish of the president and only to fulfill his wishes of having his son anointed as the next president. A parliament that has nothing to say about going to wars. A Parliament that can impeach a sitting president for serious crimes, misfeasance and malfeasance, not suspended indefinitely by heads of state. .

The people are simply tired of ‘referendum” on “constitutions” they could never understand, let alone having read in detail. Tired of having to vote in “ referendum” giving the sitting president another life tenure winning 99.999% of the vote. Saddam set the record on October 16, 2002 when all 11,445,638 registered Iraqi voters voted “yes” for Saddam. Perhaps Republican can use some Iraqi experience in getting these numbers in the next election.

The people are simply tired of having “Israel” as the permanent excuses for perpetual, failings, for corruption, for incompetence for dictatorship in the name of “steadfastness”. Tired of using Israel as an excuse for having a police and “intelligence state” where dissidents, in “monkey” trials lasting less of an hour, either jailed for life or taken to the gallows. Tired of having Israel as an excuse for perpetuating a reign of terror and oppression. Poor Arabs bought this ‘bazaar” language for too long.

Is it too much to ask? Is there a need for civil war, destroying country and people declared by government against its own people? Is there a need for people to take up arms to achieve these modest demands and rights? Why should people and country, pay the price because of one man?

Not All the News are True; Confession of a German Editor

20 02 2015

Editor of major newspaper says he planted stories for CIA
By Ralph Lopez Jan 26, 2015 in World

Becoming the first credentialed, well-known media insider to step forward and state publicly that he was secretly a “propagandist,” an editor of a major German daily has claimed that he personally planted stories for the CIA.

Saying he believes a medical condition gives him only a few years to live, and that he is filled with remorse, Dr. Udo Ulfkotte, the editor of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, one of Germany’s largest newspapers, said in an interview that he allegedly accepted news stories written and given to him by the CIA and published them under his own name. Ulfkotte said he gathered the aim of much of the deception was to drive nations toward war.

Dr. Ulfkotte says the corruption of journalists and major news outlets by the CIA is routine, accepted, and widespread in the western media, and that journalists who do not comply either cannot get jobs at any news organization, or find their careers cut short.

Dr. Ulfkotte is the author of a book currently available only in German, “Bought Journalists” (Kopp 2014.) Aged 55, he was also once an advisor to the government of German Chancellor Helmet Kohl.

Among the stories Ulfkotte says he was ordered to plant in his newspaper over the years was a story that Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi was building poison gas factories in 2011. Ulfkotte also claims he was an eyewitness to Saddam Hussein’s use of poison gas against Iranians in the war between Iran and Iraq, but that the editors he worked for at the time were not interested, because Iraq was a US ally at the time.

It should be noted his allegations have not been corroborated by a third party.

Ulfkotte says he is better positioned to come forward than many journalists because he does not have children who could be threatened. Ulfkotte told the Russian newspaper Russian Insider (RI):

“When I told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Ulfkotte’s nwspaper) that I would publish the book, their lawyers sent me a letter threatening with all legal consequences if I would publish any names or secrets – but I don’t mind. You see, I don’t have children to take care of. And you must know I was severely injured during the gas attack I witnessed in Iran in 1988. I’m the sole German survivor from a German poison gas attack. I’m still suffering from this. I’ve had three heart attacks. I don’t expect to live for more than a few years.”

Ulfkotte says that remorse of having “lied” to mass audiences over the years drove him to come forward. He told RI that he was:

“taught to lie, to betray and not to tell the truth to the public.”

Ulfkotte says:

“I’m ashamed I was part of it. Unfortunately I cannot reverse this.”

Among the admissions that Ulfkotte makes in the interview are putting his own name to articles completely written by intelligence agencies. He said:

“I ended up publishing articles under my own name written by agents of the CIA and other intelligence services, especially the German secret service.”

Ulfkotte detailed the pattern of cajolery and outright bribery used by the CIA and other US-allied intelligence agencies, for the purpose of advancing political agendas. Ulfkotte said:

“once you’re connected, you make friends with selected Americans. You think they are your friends and you start cooperating. They work on your ego, make you feel like you’re important. And one day one of them will ask you ‘Will you do me this favor’…”

Ulfkotte noted that a journalists on international press trips paid for by organizations close to the government are unlikely to submit a storyline not favorable to the sponsor.

Of the gassing of Iranians he had witnessed in the Eighties, Ulfkoppe said:

“they asked me to hand over the photos that I had made to the German association of chemical companies in Frankfurt, Verband der Chemischen Industrie. This poison gas that had killed so many Iranians was made in Germany.”

In an interview with Russia Today, Ulfkotte said that it was “not right” what he had done, and that his fear was that politicians were actively driving the world toward war:

“it is not right what I have done in the past, to manipulate people, to make propaganda against Russia, and it is not right what my colleagues do, and have done in the past, because they are bribed to betray the people not only in Germany, all over Europe. … I am very fearful of a new war in Europe, and I don’t like to have this situation again, because war is never coming from itself, there is always people who push for war, and this is not only politicians, it is journalists too. … We have betrayed our readers, just to push for war. … I don’t want this anymore, I’m fed up with this propaganda. We live in a banana republic, and not in a democratic country where we have press freedom…”

In his book “The CIA and the Media,” Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein quotes William B. Bader, former CIA intelligence officer, in his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Baeder said:

“There is quite an incredible spread of relationships. You don’t need to manipulate Time magazine, for example, because there are [Central Intelligence] Agency people at the management level.”

Bernstein writes:

“The Agency’s relationship with the Times was by far its most valuable among newspapers, according to CIA officials. From 1950 to 1966, about ten CIA employees were provided Times cover under arrangements approved by the newspaper’s late publisher, Arthur Hays Sulzberger. The cover arrangements were part of a general Times policy—set by Sulzberger—to provide assistance to the CIA whenever possible.”

Ulfkotte was on the staff of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation from 1999 to 2003, according to his Wikipedia entry. He won the civic prize from the Annette Barthelt Foundation in 2003.

“”When I told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Ulfkotte’s nwspaper) that I would publish the book, their lawyers sent me a letter threatening with all legal consequences if I would publish any names or secrets – but I don’t mind. You see, I don’t have children to take care of. And you must know I was severely injured during the gas attack I witnessed in Iran in 1988. I’m the sole German survivor from a German poison gas attack. I’m still suffering from this. I’ve had three heart attacks. I don’t expect to live for more than a few years.””
Ulfkotte says that remorse of having “lied” to mass audiences over the years drove him to come forward. He told RI that he was:

“”taught to lie, to betray and not to tell the truth to the public.” ”
Ulfkotte says:

“I’m ashamed I was part of it. Unfortunately I cannot reverse this.””
Among the admissions that Ulfkotte makes in the interview are putting his own name to articles completely written by intelligence agencies. He said:

“I ended up publishing articles under my own name written by agents of the CIA and other intelligence services, especially the German secret service.” “

Ulfkotte detailed the pattern of cajolery and outright bribery used by the CIA and other US-allied intelligence agencies, for the purpose of advancing political agendas. Ulfkotte said:
“”once you’re connected, you make friends with selected Americans. You think they are your friends and you start cooperating. They work on your ego, make you feel like you’re important. And one day one of them will ask you ‘Will you do me this favor’…””

This poison gas that had killed so many Iranians was made in Germany.””

We live in a banana republic, and not in a democratic country where we have press freedom…””

In his book “The CIA and the Media,” Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein quotes William B. Bader, former CIA intelligence officer, in his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Baeder said:

“”There is quite an incredible spread of relationships. You don’t need to manipulate Time magazine, for example, because there are [Central Intelligence] Agency people at the management level.””

The cover arrangements were part of a general Times policy—set by Sulzberger—to provide assistance to the CIA whenever possible.””

Ulfkotte was on the staff of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation from 1999 to 2003, according to his Wikipedia entry. He won the civic prize from the Annette Barthelt Foundation in 2003.

Islamophobia: Incitement or Freedom of Speech

14 02 2015

Sami Jamil Jadallah

The cold-blooded murder of the three Muslim students (Deah Shady Barakat, his wife Yusor Mohammed Abu-Salha and her sister Razan Mohammed Abu-Salha, should not come as a shock. Well-organized, well-funded American Jewish/Zionist and Evangelical Christians and mainstream media have been demonizing Muslims in America for years.

Finally after 3 days of utter and shameful silence, perhaps prompted by Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan, President Barack Obama finally broke his silence and spoke. Denouncing the murder of the three-college student as “ brutal and outrageous murder” with no justification for killing people because of “what they look like” or “ how they worship”.

President Barack Obama speaks at the White House Summit on Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection in Stanford, California

Between 2008 and 2011 several groups and organizations committed to incitement of hate against Muslims and Arabs have raised and distributed $119 million funding American Jewish/Zionist groups in America dedicated to Islamophobia.

Leading the donors are the “shameful seven” groups that include; Donors Capital Fund, Richard Mellon Scaife Foundation, Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, Newton D and Rochelle F. Becker Foundation and Charitable Trust, Russell Berrie Foundation, Anchorage Charitable Fund and William Rosenwald Family Fund and Fairbanks Foundation.

In one year over $42 million were donated to well organized groups dedicated to demonize Muslims, inciting hate in media and on campuses and of course all are dedicated to loyalty not to America but to Israel.

Well known organizations and groups include among others Steve Emerson, the self proclaimed “terrorism” experts getting his feed and intelligence from Israeli sources and passing them on to American intelligence agency, as if the tens of billions of dollars are not enough for America to have its own intelligence sources but had to rely on “private” sources.

Steve Emerson made a name for himself producing a documentary” Jihad in America” and as the Executive Director of “Investigative Project on Terrorism”. Emerson inciting hate is quoted as saying “ The survivors of the explosion at the World Trade Center in 1993 are still suffering from the trauma. … A network of Muslims extremists committed to jihad against America. Their aim is to establish a Muslim empire”.

Emerson made a fool of himself and shown his racist colors when shortly after the Charlie Hebdo in Paris and in an interview on Fox News, claimed that the entire English city of Birmingham with 1,000,000 population was Muslim and “no go zone for non-Muslim” with “Muslim religious police beat any one who does not dress according to Muslim religious attire”. British Prime Minister David Cameron labeled Emerson “clearly a complete idiot”. Perhaps his Israeli intelligence sources failed to tell Mr. Emerson that the Muslim population of Birmingham is 20% and there is No such thing as “religious police”.

Others, dedicated to incitement of hate is Pam Geller, the Jewish American blogger and author well known for her outspoken criticism of Islam and Muslims. Dedicated to the “opposition to Islamic activism and causes” in America. She is quoted as saying that “ terrorism doesn’t spring from perversion of Islam but from the religion itself”.

Pam Geller also is the one well known for those subway advertisements in cities as New York, Miami, and San Francisco among others. The advertisement “ In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man, support Israel, defeat Jihad” was initially rejected by the transport authorities. However Judge Paul A. Engelmayer, of the US District Court of Southern District ruled the advertisement as “protected speech” under the First Amendment. In his ruling the judge states” not only protected speech- it is the core political speech is afforded the highest level of protection under the First Amendment” I wonder what would be the judge ruling if the target was Israel and Judaism?

With an army of over 5,000 informers, STASI like agents, Daniel Pipes of Campus Watch and Middle East Forum, is “dedicated toreview and criticize Middle Eastern Studies in North America with aim to improving them”. By improving them, Campus Watch intimidate and publicly threatens those professors who are deemed “pro-Palestinian” and those who dare to criticize Israel, its Occupation and practices.

Campus Watch is reported to “ encourage students to submit reports about college professors, posting dossier- encouraging harassing emails and phone calls” some in academia labeled Campus Watch as “ War on Academic Freedom”.

One of the most courageous professors, who took the challenge, is Professor Judith Butler, comparative literature professor at Berkley. She posted this message.

“ I have recently learned that your organization is compiling a dossiers on professors at US academic institutions who opposed the Israeli Occupation, its brutality, actively support Palestinian rights of self determination as well as a more informed and intelligent view of Islam than is currently represented in the US media. I would be enormously honored be counted among those who actively hold these positions and would like to be included in the list of those who are struggling for justice.

Campus Watch is known for taping professor’s presentations and discussions in class and posting it on the web. One of the targeted professors is Rashid Khaldi of Columbia University. His dossier was posted on the web with threats of withholding city and alumni funds because of his stands. In a taped call from one of those STASI informer “ Columbia alumni love Campus Watch, because they keep an eye on those like you, we have one eye on you- you better watch out”. Campus Watch is the AIPAC in academia.

Not withstanding all these well funded and well organized hate groups, America continue to be a blessed place, and yes, notwithstanding these tragic events, we are all blessed to be citizen of this great country of our, yours and mine.

People take part in a vigil for three young Muslims killed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at Dupont Circle on February 12, 2015 in Washington, DC.

Feeling blessed from being an American, Yusor, in a recorded message on NPR Story Corps states” There are so many different people from so many places background and religion. But here we are all one”. “It is beautiful to see-people of different areas interacting and being family and community
May they rest in peace, Salam.
