Barack Obama will be good for America and the world

1 03 2008

Barack ObamaFor the first time in this election year, I took the time out to watch the television debate between Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama carried out by CNBC from Cleveland State University before this coming Tuesday’s election.

I have been following the campaigns of Senator Obama from the time he came to George Mason University to address students as he announced his campaign. My daughter Diala was on the few students on stage and my other twin, Laila photographed the events for the university.

Not since the days of the Kennedys, both John and Robert has the country been lifted by such candidate who talked of hope, of future, of inclusion and not exclusions and who are committed to rights the wrongs in America. While Bill Clinton was a great president who done great things for America and the world including taking on the Serb and their massacres of Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo. Too bad Republicans started to haunt Bill Clinton from the date he became president and continue to haunt him till today. However the love for Bill Clinton does not translate as votes for his wife Hilary Clinton. She voted to go to war and believed the lies of Bush/Cheney and who failed to have the courage to speak out. Like many of the Democratic senators she voted for the war on Iraq without the benefit of an open debate and without the benefits to ask why are we going to war on Iraq when our fight is with Bin Laden and the Talibans.

Saddam was a criminal, who started his service to America in 68 and who served America very well during his 8 years war against Iran. America was silent during his reign of terror where he killed millions of his people and a Republican administration was silent as he gassed innocent Kurds killing tens of thousands. Few days after this massacre, Donald Rumsfeld was in Baghdad committing US support for this war criminal. However Saddam was not a member of the Alqaeda and has no part in September 11 crimes committed against the US. Hilary and other Democratic senators did not have the courage to ask why we are committing to go to war. Hilary gave George Bush a blank check to go to war and is a partner in the crimes committed by George Bush against the American public and the people of Iraq.

Yes, Hilary is more interested in the executives on Wall Street who are making tens of millions of dollars fleecing American and their own corporations and does not and could not represent Main Street at the same time. Of course we are all interested in a health plan for all Americans but the 16 minute debate over the issue did not help me understand the plan and its shortcoming and its strength. It was a waste of time. It is all academic, with neither Hilary nor Barack are able to deliver such plans to the public. The insurance industry, the lobbyist and members of Congress from both parties who are on the payroll of the industry will never pass a national health care plan.

I like Obama because his message is different. He speaks from his heart about the pain that average citizens suffers these days as result of the greed of Wall Street and its executives who are bankrolling Hilary and McCain political campaign. Obama will for sure will bring to and end George Bush’s war on Iraq and will bring our troops home and will negotiate an honorable withdrawal for our soldiers. Obama will be able to take America back for the American people from the corporate interests that held the White House hostage. Obama will be able to divert whatever little money is left from George Bush raids on the national treasury and invest the people’s money where it is needed; in education, in health, in job training, in creating jobs homes not in China, and in affordable housing so that all Americans can realize their dreams of owning a home rather than having the crooks of Wall Street stealing and robbing Americans of their dreams.

Obama will not be the kind of partisans that George Bush or John McCain are. He is a reconciler who is able to reach out across race, economics ad social and cultural differences. His message for “Change We Believe In” is an honest one, coming from the heart. That is why he has been able to attract millions to his rallies.

Yes, Bush/Cheney’s War on Iraq will be the central issue in the fall campaign between Obama and McCain. Senator McCain believes in the 100 year war, perhaps taking his cues from the 100 years war between the Catholics and Protestant in Europe. Like Bush and Cheney, McCain have no platform for America. No plans other than carrying out their Republican’s “Contract on America”. McCain does not talk of jobs, of lost homes, of affordable education, of peace at home. His message is war, war and more war. He will continue Bush’s raid on the national treasury awarding defense contractors and home land security hundreds of billions of dollars to wage war that is not making us safe and wars we are not winning against few thousand terrorists.

The election of Obama will again open the hearts and minds of the world for America. Obama’s message of reconciliation with the world will bring America and Americans the kind of safety and security that George Bush or John McCain could never deliver even if they spend a trillion dollars on arms. Our safety is not guaranteed through guns and war planes, it is guaranteed by the good well we will regain around the world. Bush with his stupid and reckless war eroded the entire good well we had from all over the world after September 11th. There was not a single country that did not have sympathy and hope for America and Americans after September 11th. George Bush wasted all of that and John McCain will if elected commit America and Americans to a 100 year war, that none of the children of his friends and financier will fight. Those who end fighting the Republican wars are those who are Obama’s constituents. They are the one who are called on to fight and die for America so that Cheney, Bush and McCain can earn millions of dollars in consultancy fees from those who benefit the most from wars, the industry.

Yes Obama is the right candidate at the right time. He will be very good for America and will be good for the world and yes, when he is good for the world, the world will be good for America. I have no doubts we will win the war against Bin Laden and Alqaeda. We need someone like Obama who will be able to regain the entire good well Bush lost around the world. His message of hope and change is sincere and he will bring about a profound change in America and the way Congress works. However he has to be careful from a Republican Party that is committed to self destruction taking America down the drain.

you’ve got to be kidding, O’bomber is another Israeli puppet. He prophets off of insider trading and wants to print a whole bunch more money as soon as he is elected. As far as winning the war against Bin laden and Alquaeda, you obviously live in a zionist fantasy world where if we could just get rid of those damn Arabs everything would be alright. If you want peace, vote for a candidate who won’t support Israels apartheid state. We need a NON-ZIONIST candidate will ‘Bring Our Troops Home NOW’ and stop screwing up this country and the world for the ZIONIST AGENDA.
