In the Academy Award winning movie, Network, Peter Finch as Howard Beale had a great memorable moment that won him the Best Actor award when he opened his window late at night and shouted ” I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore”. Millions join him as they repeat the promise over and over. More and more Americans are opening their windows and shouting “I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it any more”. The same can be true today; more and more Americans within the administration, in think tanks, in the media and in academia are standing up and are repeating the same message of Howard Peale. Americans are mad as hell, and they are not going to take it any more.
