The Arab leaders seem to be waking up from long sleep, similar to the “people of the cave/ Ahl Alkahaf” the story in the Holy Quran or are waking up from overdose or hang over, even a comma. They woke up to discover there is a need for change and a need for reform and there are real people. All ran a police state that failed them at home and abroad. Syria is now blaming Israel for fermenting the uprising, adding insult to injury to the Syrian people. Read the rest of this entry »

One has to ask and wonder why the sudden escalation of violence between Israel and Gaza and why Jerusalem after calms and quite is witnessing its first “terrorist” acts in many years?
I always condemned “terrorist” acts committed by both Israelis and Palestinians and never deemed “suicide” bombings as acts of “martyrdom” but acts of cold-blooded murder. Targeting unarmed civilians whether Israelis or Palestinians, whether the methods of acts are suicide bombings or planting bombs in restaurants, supermarkets or buses or through bombs dropped from F-16s or Apaches are simple acts of terrorism. To the dead whether Israeli or Palestinian civilians the methods of murders do not changed the fact that a simple cold-blooded murder was committed. Read the rest of this entry »

Muammar Gaddafi went on radio few days ago, threatening no mercy for the pro-democracy residence of Benghazi . In the last few days, Muammar and his son Seif El-Islam feel energized again after making some gains on the grounds during the last 10 days. Thanks to President Sarkozy and France, the UN Security Council passed a resolution calling for a “No Fly Zone” and taking a measures to protect the lives of civilians in Libya. Though the Obama Administration was too keen on the no fly zone, for reasons that became clear it took a back seat, with a wait and see attitude, until Gaddafi was able to win the battle against his own people with ready and final assault on the city of Benghazi. France persistence finally paid off, finally the Obama Administration was allowed to vote on the USSC resolution 1973. It is too late for all those killed and murdered by Gaddafi, and the hope that his days as leader of Libya are numbered. Read the rest of this entry »

As I see the reaction of Palestinian, Israeli and world leaders on the murder of the Jewish trespassing family in Itamar, I tried my best to look for and search a similar language expressed by Israeli and world leaders certainly by Palestinians leaders when Israeli soldiers and Jewish armed trespassers kill Palestinians in cold blood. I find none.
Mahmoud Abbas was quick to call the murder in Itamar and speaking to Israeli Radio he described the murder “ despicable, immoral and inhuman act… a human being is not capable of something like this.” Salam Fayyad commenting on same “ we appose violence and condemn its use, it does not matter what the reason were, who the victims were and what the aim?” One needs to compare the statements made by Israeli officials to that of Palestinian leaders when armed Jewish trespassers or Israeli soldiers commit similar acts against Palestinians. At best, there is a shy ‘regret” and those Jews committing the murder are let go on probation and released to community service. Read the rest of this entry »

Special Note: Once again, Congressman Peter King shows his true “cultural and political values”. His recent hearing on “Islamic radicalization in America” brings the history of a man who supported terrorists and terrorism. This is a reprint from a September 2007 posting.
The recent comments made by Congressman Peter King R-New York surely qualifies him for inductions into the “Assholes Hall of Fame”. The not so honorable congressman, a racist and a bigot through and trough was a strong supporter of the IRA terrorism since the IRA did commits similar terrorists acts committed by radical Muslim groups around the world, killing and maiming innocent people in N. Ireland and in London, as they went about planting bombs in public places. The congressman when it comes to terrorism is not so honorable, forgetting that terrorism is terrorism whether committed by Irish Catholics, Muslims, Jews or Hindus. Read the rest of this entry »

The congressional hearings on “Islamic radicalization” in America conducted by Congressman Peter King should be a wake call for all Muslims in America. It is not time to be angry and cry accusation of racism or conspiracy against Muslims, though there is much of this around and this racism and conspiracy runs deep within certain governmental departments such as Home Land Security, FBI and for sure in the main stream media and certain quarters within the American Jewish community and Evangelical Christians.
