Mubarak, the end of the military rule in Egypt.

31 01 2011

The embattled and much hated Hosni Mubarak spent 30 years of hard work to add to the already existing police and emergency state, an extension of Nasser and Sadat regime. However Mubarak outdone all of his predecessors he corrupted and fleeced the nation. With over a million policemen, informer and secrete operatives Egypt has the largest security organization outside of the former Soviet Union and East Germany. The police state collapsed without firing a single shot. Read the rest of this entry »

Palestine Papers; Chutzpa out of Ramallah

31 01 2011

Any one watching Saeb Erekat interview with Ahmed Mansour on Aljazeera program” Without Borders” saw a different Saeb, not the pompous arrogant know it all condescending Saeb but a very scared, agitated on defensive verging on mental breakdown for the lies and reckless incompetency are coming out. It is true of Yaser Abed-Rabboo the rabid guard dog of the Ramallah leadership. Instead of directing their responses to the issues at hand they resorted to character assassinations of Qatar, its leadership and Aljazeera.  The entire Palestinian leadership has lots of “Chutzpa” to even dare to make excuses after others, committing lies after lies even face the people. The Palestine Papers; time to bury the PLO and PA

25 01 2011

For the past few days I have been spending much of my time reading the released documents on Aljazeera (www.transparency.aljazeera.net) and the Guardian of London, watching Aljazeera and reading other publications. One thing for sure the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah is in a panic, caught with its pants down, offering different spins talking non-sense, shifting the discourse from what the papers shows to discrediting Aljazeera for publishing “fake documents”, “partial and selective”, “nothing new” and accusing both Aljazeera and the ruler of Qatar of inciting the public against the Palestinian leadership and defending the indefensible, the sell out of the Palestinian people down the drain. Arab opposition parties are not yet ready to govern.

23 01 2011

Without taking away from the heroic and unprecedented persistent of the people and streets of Tunisia in uprooting and dispatching to exile in very humiliating way the klepto-dictator Bin Ali, the Jasmine Revolution showed us that formal opposition parties in the Arab world are not yet ready for prime time and not ready to take over managing a country on a moment notice.  A failure and a shortcoming that all Arab opposition parties have to take into serious consideration. Countries and citizens could not afford the mistakes of the Tunisian opposition parties. Read the rest of this entry »

Right Wingers and targeted assassination in Tucson.

11 01 2011

“The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting outrageous. And unfortunately, I think Arizona has become sort of the mecca for prejudice and bigotry” With these moving words, Pima County Sheriff, Clarence Dupnik tried to explain the cold blooded murder of 6 and the injuring of scores others in the attempted targeted killing of Congresswoman Gabriele Gifford of Tucson, Arizona. Of course we as a nation must be thankful to and must not forget Senator John McCain of Arizona and his role in plucking out from total obscurity Sarah “Reload” Palin.  Read the rest of this entry »

Why Helen Thomas, but not Henry Kissinger?

1 01 2011

One has to compare the statements made by Helen Thomas and Henry Kissinger about Jews and Israel to see the hypocrisy and double standards that afflict official Washington, the media and public affairs in general in the US. Kissinger did not see any problem of Soviet Jews going to the gas chambers. Helen Thomas only asked why not the Jews of Israel go back to Poland and Germany where they came from. Kissinger was afforded the forum of the Washington Post to apologize for his statement while Helen Thomas was thrown to the wolves and under the train with every body from Obama on down doing their best to “delete” her outstanding contributions to professional journalism. Of course the answer to this hypocrisy is that one is an “Arab”, the other is a “Jew”, simple. Read the rest of this entry »
